CELPIP Speaking & Writing Tutor – Remote

Pay: Starting at CAD $35/hour

Location: 100% Remote

BridgeUp Edu Inc. is looking for friendly, passionate ESL tutors to provide 1-on-1 online CELPIP Speaking and Writing coaching.

Never taught CELPIP before? That’s completely okay. IELTS, ESL, English tutoring, writing, or test-prep experience is welcome. Initial CELPIP training, scoring criteria, teaching strategies, curriculum, and lesson materials will be provided directly by the founder.

We’re looking for tutors who enjoy helping students improve and are open to sharing ideas and developing our curriculum together.

What You’ll Do

- Teach 1-on-1 CELPIP Speaking & Writing
- Provide personalized feedback and homework
- Help students work toward their target scores
- Join brief weekly team check-ins
- Contribute ideas to curriculum and lesson materials
- Participate in occasional 15-minute paid intro calls
- Work with up to 10 regular students
- Coordinate lesson times flexibly with assigned students

What We’re Looking For
- Fluent or near-native English
- Passionate about ESL teaching
- Strong communication and feedback skills




- Patient, reliable, and supportive
- Open to feedback and recent teaching ideas
- IELTS / ESL / tutoring experience is an asset
- CELPIP teaching experience is not required

- 3–5 minute teaching demonstration
- 1–2 minute self-introduction
- Videos may be separate or combined
- Complete a short CELPIP Speaking & Writing assessment task
- Attend a 20–30 minute online interview
- Successful candidates receive initial CELPIP training directly from the founder

Compensation

- Contract rate: CAD $35 per teaching hour to start
- Paid intro calls
- No guaranteed minimum hours or student assignments
- Tutors set their availability and coordinate lesson times with assigned students
- Tutors may accept or decline student assignments
- Tutors may provide services to other clients or organizations
- Independent Contractor; responsible for their own taxes
