About the Role

We are looking for a careful, organized and energetic Chemical Laboratory Technician to support our chemistry, formulation and reagent-development teams.

You will prepare chemical solutions and formulations, support stabilization and lyophilization experiments, maintain laboratory supplies and equipment, and accurately document experimental and production results.

This role is well suited to a recent chemical laboratory technology or chemistry graduate who enjoys exact hands-on work and wants to build substantial industry experience.

Responsibilities

- Accurately weigh chemicals and prepare solutions, buffers, standards and formulations
- Perform dilutions, pH adjustments, mixing, filtration and sample preparation
- Support reagent formulation and stabilization experiments
- Assist with lyophilization and dry-reagent development
- Prepare samples for analytical testing
- Record formulation details, batch information, observations and test results
- Label, package and store chemical reagents and experimental samples
- Maintain chemical inventories, SDS records and expiry-date tracking
- Clean glassware, laboratory tools and equipment
- Maintain clean and organized benches, fume hoods, refrigerators and freezers
- Follow written protocols,

- Support small-scale reagent production and packaging
- Monitor supplies and communicate purchasing requirements
- Identify unexpected results, formulation changes or possible procedural errors
- Follow chemical-handling, waste-disposal, safety and quality procedures
- Assist other laboratory and production teams when needed

Required Qualifications

- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in chemical laboratory technology, chemistry, pharmaceutical science, formulation science or a related field
- Practical experience using analytical balances, pipettes, volumetric glassware and pH meters
- Ability to perform concentration and dilution calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
- Comfortable performing repetitive preparation, cleaning and packaging activities
- Able to follow instructions precisely and work independently after training
- Reliable, punctual and willing to take responsibility for laboratory organization
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving product-development environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience preparing buffers, standards or chemical formulations
- Experience with lyophilization or pharmaceutical reagent preparation




- Experience with UV-Vis, HPLC or other analytical laboratory equipment
- Previous co-op, internship, academic-laboratory or manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with batch records, SOPs, GMP, GLP or ISO quality systems
- Experience using Excel, Google Sheets or electronic laboratory records

Growth Opportunity

This position can grow into a Senior Laboratory Technician, Formulation Technician, Quality Technician, Reagent Production Lead or Laboratory Operations Lead role.
