Chimney Sweep / Service Technician – Calgary

STARTING ASAP – SEASONAL POSITION UNTIL APPROXIMATELY MID-JANUARY

Starting Wage: $18–$22/hour depending on experience

Crown Chimney Sweeps Inc. is a local, family-owned and operated chimney service company serving Calgary and surrounding communities.

We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Chimney Sweep / Service Technician to join our team.

This is a hands-on position involving chimney cleaning, inspections, repairs, ladders, roof work, and working directly with customers in their homes.

Duties include

- Chimney and fireplace cleaning
- Inspecting chimney and fireplace systems for visible issues
- Assisting with chimney, fireplace, and venting repairs
- Working with masonry fireplaces, factory-built fireplaces, wood stoves, and wood-burning inserts
- Setting up and using ladders, vacuums, brushes, cameras, hand tools, and power tools
- Keeping customers’ homes and work areas clean
- Taking photos and documenting completed work
- Explaining findings and recommended repairs to customers
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and work vehicles
- Travelling throughout Calgary and surrounding areas

- Valid driver’s licence with a good driving record

Previous experience in chimney sweeping, fireplaces, roofing, HVAC, construction, masonry, or another skilled trade is an asset. WETT certification or previous chimney sweeping experience is a major asset, but chimney experience is not necessarily required for the right person.

We are willing to train someone who has a strong work ethic, mechanical ability, common sense, and a willingness to learn.
