The Duncan Administrative
Team is a collaborative and supportive team that provides essential administrative and clerical support across children and family service offices. Team members work alongside a variety of professionals, including Office Managers, Child Protection Workers, Resource Workers, Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Clinicians, Children and Youth with Support Needs (CYSN) Workers, Directors, and other ministry staff.
The Role The Team
Assistant plays an important role in supporting children, youth, and families by providing administrative, clerical, and program support within a children and families office. As a key member of a collaborative team, the Team Assistant works closely with Team Leaders, Social Workers, and Social Work Assistants to help ensure the effective delivery of services and supports. The position serves as a primary point of contact for client intake and helps create a welcoming and responsive experience for clients accessing services.
Reporting to an Office Manager, the Team Assistant provides support across a range of specialized program areas, including mental health, child protection, guardianship, adoption, and other family-focused services.

Qualifications: Education and Experience Requirements - Certificate or coursework and 6 months *related experience; OR
- Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and 6 months *related experience; OR
- Evergreen and 1 year *related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Six months experience working in a computerized environment using various computer applications and databases. (For example: Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook) for word processing, spread sheeting, data entry, email and video teleconferencing; and case management or other database applications.
- Experience providing quality customer or client service, carrying out duties and responding to client needs in a professional manner.
- Experience working independently and as a team member with a multi-disciplinary environment and with other professional staff, clients, and service providers.
- Consideration may be given for completion of an Administrative Business Skills course or program as experience equivalency. Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- Administrative experience working with vulnerable children and families in a human/social services setting.
- Experience using MCFD applications: Integrated Case Management (ICM) and/or Management Information Systems (MIS) computer applications.

About this Position: There are two temporary positions available (one opportunity until October 8, 2027 and one opportunity until January 31, 2027), with the possibility of extension and/or the position becoming permanent.
These positions require full time, in-person work at one of the two Duncan locations.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
