Cloud Server Engineer

Location: Lower Mainland, BC | Hybrid – mostly remote with occasional onsite work

Contract: 6 months, with potential extension

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Server Engineer to support Windows Server, Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments. This is a hands-on engineering role with a robust focus on Azure, Windows Server, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and SCCM/MECM .

What You’ll Be Doing

- Build, configure, harden, patch and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
- Support Azure IaaS and hybrid infrastructure , including VMs, connectivity, identity, monitoring and backups.
- Deploy and manage Azure Arc-enabled servers .
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint , including onboarding, policies, sensor health and troubleshooting.
- Work extensively with SCCM/MECM for deployments, collections, configuration baselines and patching.
- Support migrations from third-party antivirus/EDR solutions to Microsoft Defender.
- Use PowerShell for large-scale deployment, automation,



validation and reporting.
- Support Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Intune, monitoring and backup environments.

Must-Haves
- 10+ years of Windows Server engineering, cloud infrastructure or Systems Administration experience.
- Strong hands-on Windows Server engineering.
- Strong Azure IaaS experience.
- Hands-on Azure Arc-enabled Servers experience.
- Enterprise-level Microsoft Defender for Endpoint experience.
- Strong SCCM/MECM experience.
- Strong PowerShell scripting .
- Experience working in complex, highly available enterprise environments.

Nice to Have Azure certifications such as AZ-800 or AZ-104 , security certifications such as SC-200, MD-102 or SC-100 , experience migrating antivirus/EDR platforms to Microsoft Defender, Infrastructure as Code, and experience in highly available/public-safety environments.
