GKD Industries Ltd. is a Calgary based ISO 9001:2015 certified company providing machining and related manufacturing solutions for the oil and gas, aerospace and defence industries. GKD also has a proprietary line of Well Stimulation and Slickline Pressure Control Equipment for the oil and gas industry.
We are currently seeking senior CNC Machinists for both our day and afternoon shifts. The day shift typically operates Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm and the afternoon shift Monday to Friday 2:30pm to 11:00pm. Overtime and Weekends are also available.
Set up experience and an understanding of programmable steady rests and live tooling for lathes, and multi-axis machining on vertical and horizontal mills is an asset. Extensive metrology background and experience with machinability of different materials including corrosion resistant alloys is required.

You will be working with modern and well-maintained equipment with complete tooling.
Typical work includes
- Machining of alloy and super alloy steels
- Part inspection using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other measuring equipment
- Performing daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment and tools. Identify and report any machinery or equipment problems to Supervisor.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and efficiency by ensuring outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs
- Using computerized job management system
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Always looking to continuously improve processes and share ideas
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
