About Relay
Relay ECI is being built to help organizations preserve critical knowledge when employees leave, take time off, or move into new roles.
The vision is to connect the tools teams already use—such as SharePoint, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Google Drive, Asana, and Monday.com—with structured handoffs, clear ownership, and an employee Continuity Hub. An AI-powered Hub Assistant will help people find answers, understand inherited work, and spot gaps in continuity.
To be clear: Relay is only three weeks old and is still pre-MVP. Company demos are coming up, but there is plenty to test, rethink, and build. This is an opportunity to help shape the product and the company from the beginning.
The Culture We Want to Build The way we work matters just as much as what we build.
The ethos is simple: respect, easygoing people, honest communication, and room for a life outside work. We want to create an atmosphere people actually enjoy being part of—where ideas are welcome, questions are encouraged, and nobody needs to put on a corporate persona.
Relaxed does not mean indifferent. We care about doing good work, following through, and treating each other well. It means building something meaningful without making constant pressure and long hours the culture.
The Opportunity
This is an unpaid, remote co-founder opportunity with a flexible time commitment agreed together.
There is no salary attached to this role. Equity is intended to be shared, but the split and terms have not been established. Those details would need to be discussed and agreed together before committing to a partnership.
At this stage, it’s for the love of the game: believing in the problem,
enjoying the process of building, and wanting to create something helpful with people you respect.
It is completely reasonable to need paid work. This opportunity is suited to someone who can take on an unpaid, uncertain early-stage venture and whose motivation goes beyond a quick financial return. There is no promise of future income or profit.
What We’ll Work On The immediate priority is getting Relay in front of potential users, running upcoming demos, and turning honest feedback into product improvements.
Together, we’ll:
- Engage potential users and coordinate demo testing.
- Understand their needs and challenge our assumptions.
- Turn feedback into clear tasks and product priorities.
- Shape the product, positioning, and direction of the business.
- Establish how we work together and the culture we want to grow.
What You Might Bring
You don’t need to tick every box. Relevant experience could include:
- Product, technology, HR, operations, marketing, or sales.
- Low-code tools, citizen development, or workflow automation.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, SharePoint, or Confluence.
- Confidence speaking with potential users and gathering feedback.
- The ability to turn user needs into practical next steps.
- Initiative, curiosity, reliability, and a collaborative approach.
Above all, we’re looking for someone who believes in the product and shares the values behind it: respect, an easygoing working relationship, and work-life balance.
Interested?
Apply with your résumé and a short note about why Relay interests you, what you would bring, and what time commitment feels realistic for you.
