Commercial Electrical Lead Hand – Immediate Start

Spark Electrical Services is hiring an experienced Commercial Electrical Lead Hand to join our growing team for an immediate start.

We’re looking for a skilled commercial electrician who is ready to take on more responsibility in the field. This position is a great fit for someone who can lead by example, help keep a crew organized and productive, and work closely with the Foreman to keep projects moving.

Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of commercial electrical experience.

About the Role

As a Commercial Electrical Lead Hand, you’ll work alongside our Foremen to help coordinate day-to-day electrical work on commercial job sites.

This is a hands-on leadership position. You’ll be expected to work alongside the crew while helping provide direction to apprentices and electricians, maintain productivity, identify issues in the field, and ensure installations are completed safely and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

- Work alongside and provide direction to electricians and apprentices
- Assist the Foreman with coordinating daily work and crew priorities
- Help assign tasks and keep work progressing efficiently
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications
- Complete commercial electrical installations, rough-in, finishing, and related work
- Ensure installations meet electrical code, project specifications, and quality standards
- Identify field issues and communicate them to the Foreman
- Help coordinate materials, tools,



and equipment required for upcoming work
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site
- Mentor apprentices and less-experienced crew members
- Communicate effectively with the Foreman, project team, and other trades
- Lead by example in workmanship, productivity, attitude, and safety

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of commercial electrical experience required
- Robust understanding of commercial electrical systems and installations
- Previous leadership experience or someone ready to step into a leadership position
- Ability to confidently read electrical drawings and plans
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize work and help keep a crew productive
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Dependable, accountable, and able to take initiative
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a crew
- Someone who takes pride in their work and leads by example
