We are currently expanding our field operations and looking for a motivated 2nd or 3rd Year HVAC Apprentice who is ready to hone their skill set on real-world commercial installations.

Position Overview

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Sheet Metal Apprentice with strong foundational experience in commercial field installations. In this role, you will work directly with our experienced journeymen and Project Managers on Commercial new builds, retrofits, rooftop unit replacements, and distribution systems.

This is a great opportunity for an apprentice who wants consistent, challenging work, direct mentorship, and a clear path toward completing their journeyman ticket.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in the installation of commercial HVAC systems, including Rooftop Units (RTUs), Make-Up Air Units (MAUs), heat pumps, exhaust and ventilation systems.

· Install, connect, and secure ductwork, air distribution systems, dampers, and transfer air ducts according to Project Mechanical drawings and specifications.

· Measure, cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal and mechanical components on-site.





· Perform demolition and removal of legacy mechanical equipment during revitalization/retrofit projects.

· Support system startup, pressure testing, and preliminary balancing alongside senior technicians.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and secure job site, ensuring full compliance with site-specific safety plans and regulations.

· Safely operate power tools, lifts, rigging equipment, and hand tools.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Apprenticeship Status: Registered 2nd or 3rd Year Sheet Metal Apprentice.

· Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of practical experience in commercial HVAC installation.

· Blueprints: Solid basic understanding of mechanical drawings, structural layouts, and HVAC schematics.

· Safety Certifications: Active CSTS-20, WHMIS, Fall Protection, and Aerial Work Platform (Scissor/Boom Lift) certifications preferred.

· Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to job sites.

· Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work comfortably at heights, on roofs, and in variable weather conditions.
