Commercial Pool Preventative Maintenance Technician

Full-time, Year-Round, Based on Experience

: The Commercial Pool Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for servicing and maintaining a dedicated portfolio of commercial swimming pools and aquatic facilities. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, water quality management, and regulatory compliance, with technicians visiting the same client facilities week after week and others as assigned, building strong working relationships and accountability.

The Commercial Pool Preventative Maintenance

Technician will take ownership of their assigned sites, ensuring pools and equipment are safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on indoor and outdoor commercial swimming pools, spas, and aquatic facilities
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and install filtration, circulation, and sanitizing systems
- Manage water quality and chemistry during scheduled service visits, including testing, balancing, and documentation
- Conduct bacteria sampling and water testing in accordance with public health requirements
- Inspect pool equipment and facilities, identifying deficiencies and completing detailed inspection and deficiency reports for repair approvals
- Ensure strict adherence to public health regulations, codes, and safety standards
- Prepare, complete, and maintain all required health regulation documentation and records




- Perform start-ups and seasonal opening procedures for outdoor pools
- Support and complete public health inspections, addressing findings and corrective actions as required
- Deliver pool operator training sessions to clients when required
- Communicate regularly and professionally with clients, addressing concerns and providing updates
- Coordinate daily activities and participate in regular debriefings with the Operations Manager
- Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance logs
- Vacuuming and cleaning of pool and spa, pool decks, drains and tiles
- Assist with client requests and requirements and make the appropriate recommendations
- Build & maintain positive client relationships

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Experience in commercial pool maintenance, service, or aquatic facility operations (preferred)
- Strong understanding of water chemistry, pool systems, and preventative maintenance practices
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues
- Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent communication with management

- Customer service experience
- Valid G2 or G driver’s license with clean abstract
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instruction/procedures/product manuals
- Robust organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Problem-solving skills
- Adaptability and flexibility with schedule changes
- Effective oral and written communication skills with co-workers and customers
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain personal work performance in the face of setbacks

Additional Information:

- Ability to handle physical demands and work in varying weather conditions
- Light to heavy lifting required
- Steel-toe footwear is mandatory

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 44.0 per week
