Operations & Communications Full Time Cannington, ON $36,785 - $41,785 CAD per year The Nourish and Develop Foundation (TNDF) is a non-profitlocatedin Cannington, Ontario on a mission to connect people to nourishing food and supportive resources, empowering the community to come together to develop lasting change. Rooted in curiosity, connection, advocacy, responsiveness, and equity, we are a multi-service agency with two pivotal branches—Food Services and Social Services.
Position Summary TheCommunicationsCoordinator will work closely with the Fundraising & Communications Director to bring TNDF’s work, impact, and personality to life through thoughtful, creative, and engaging communications. This is a creative, collaborative, and varied role whereyou’llhave the opportunity to use your communications skills in meaningful ways. Working across social media, photography, web, email, print, fundraising, and more,you’llbring ideas to life alongside a team doing impactful work in the community.

Position Term
Permanent, full-time position beginning November 2, 2026. Hours and Location This is a full-time position working 30hours per week. Standard working hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Evening and/or weekend shifts may berequiredfor this role, with advance notice given. This position is based in Cannington, Ontario. There is no remote work or hybrid workoptionavailable for this position.
Compensation and Benefits - Annual salary of $36,785–$41,785

- Paid team-building and career development opportunities Tasks and Duties Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage TNDF’s communications requests, systems,
templates, and shared assets, keeping work organized and supporting staff in using communications tools and brand standards effectively.
- Manage TNDF’s social media presence, including account maintenance, community engagement, and the development and publishing of varied, engaging content across platforms.
- Use analytics, audience insights, and emerging trends to continuously strengthen TNDF’s social media content, reach, and engagement.
- Maintain TNDF’s website and 3Common presence, keeping informationaccurate, accessible, engaging, and on brand and using SEO and analytics to support continuous improvement.
- Develop TNDF’s monthly email newsletter andmaintainengaging digital promotional displays for programs, events, campaigns, and other organizational priorities.
- Capture, edit, and organize photography and other content thatshowcasesTNDF’s programs, people, events, impact, and day-to-day work.
- Create and adapt digital and print communications materials using TNDF’s brand and established templates, collaborating with TNDF’s graphic designer on custom or advanced design needs.
- Maintain and distribute current, engaging print materials and communications displays across TNDF and community locations.
- Work closely with the Fundraising & Communications Director to provide communications and creative support for TNDF’s fundraising program, campaigns, events, donor stewardship, sponsorships, outreach, and emerging opportunities.
- Integrate fundraising into TNDF’s broader communications whereappropriate, helpingdemonstrateimpact, recognize supporters, communicate the need for support, and invite people to get involved.
- Coordinate TNDF’s media relations and outreach, includingmaintainingmedia relationships, pursuing coverage opportunities,
preparing pitches and releases, responding to inquiries, and supporting interviews and other media opportunities in collaboration with the Fundraising & Communications Director.
Qualifications & Experience - Education and/or experience in communications, marketing, public relations, digital media, or a related area.We welcome a combination of education, professional experience, and demonstrated skills.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to create transparent and engaging content for different audiences and channels.
- Experience creating and managing digital content, particularly social media, with a good eye for engaging, professional, and on-brand communications.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines while working collaboratively with others.
- Comfortable using and learning digital communications tools.
Experience with platforms such as Canva, Adobe, Microsoft 365, website content management systems, email marketing/CRM tools, photography, or analytics is an asset.
- Experience in graphic design, photography/video, fundraising or nonprofit communications, advocacy, SEO/analytics, or media relations is considered an asset.
- Proactive and resourceful, with the initiative to spot communications opportunities, solve problems, and move work forward without always needing detailed direction.
- Collaborative and approachable, with strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, volunteers, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Adaptable and open to feedback, with the judgment to balance changing priorities, creative ideas, organizational needs, and brand standards.
