We are looking for a communications specialist / executive assistant to work with our company, Sacred Crossings. Tasks include daily social media posts, website (Wordpress) editing, and managing the LearnWorlds Teaching platform.

Our institute offers workshops and classes in death education and a certificate training program for death doula. We are looking to include a daily ‘Ask the Death Midwife’ blog/column.

We require a paid intern to assist in all facets of growing the company, including, but not limited to PR, marketing and social media to grow our network and take us to the next level. This is an amazing opportunity to learn in depth about marketing and PR, the LearnWorlds teaching platform as well as social media in the end-of-life arena. The intern Communications assistant position requires a 3-month commitment. 30-day trial period at $18 per hour with pay review after that time.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Assist the CEO organize, schedule, create and post social media posts daily relating to conscious dying, conscious living and training programs.
- Assist with research and pitching interviews with local and national media outlets, digital and local and national radio stations and podcasts.
- Edit and post 2 blog posts a month
- Research & outreach potential students
- Assist, plan and coordinate programs and webinars.
- Manage the LearnWorlds teaching platform for courses to students

Requirements:

- Must own a laptop computer (Apple preferably)
- Must be able to work between 10 am and 1pm (PST) with additional flexible hours
- Must have knowledge in social media, public relations and/or marketing
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be familiar with Constant Contact, Zoom, Wordpress, Word & photoshop
- Must be familiar with Instagram,



YouTube, Facebook & LinkedIn
- Must be familiar with teaching platforms and knowledgable with LearnWorlds.
- Must have an interest in end-of-life field and personal development
- Must be a fast learner, keep organized, work quickly and efficiently
- Have positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent communicator
- Self-motivated – takes the initiative and have pride in own work.
- Works well under pressure. Is patient and flexible with last minute changes
- Self-confident, able to handle yourself professionally
- Able to identify weaknesses and strengths with commitment to grow
- Have a passion for self-development, uplifting others and networking

Qualifications and Skills:

- In-depth understanding of branding, ability to seamlessly apply established style guide in marketing collateral (social media, ads, website, and print materials)
- Easily communicate organization’s mission and hold an exceptional ability to adopt established messaging
- Strong background in design, management, and administration of websites on Wordpress and Divi
- Exceptional social media content creation and social media management
- Proficiency building and managing e-learning platforms such as LearnWorlds, Teachable, and Kajabi
- Intermediate comprehension and application of SEO, CSS, and Google Ads analytics
- Precise financial bookkeeping and organizational expertise
- Compassionate and professional communication skills via email and phone with clientele, partners, and PR




- Cultivated approach to leading with tact and empathy when addressing difficult subject matter such as grief, fear, and loss
- A strong sense of cultural sensitivity as applied to professional and interpersonal correspondence and messaging
- Extensive experience moderating live webinars and managing webinar platforms such as ZOOM
- Background with basic video and audio editing software for social media and website content

Pay: This is a paid internship. It requires a 3-month initial commitment. First 30 days at $18 per hour, increasing to $20 for remainder of the commitment. Option to continue with the company with regular pay raise. The company will support the applicant if he/she wants to get college credit. We pride ourselves in providing opportunities for undergraduate or graduate students who are interested in learning and practicing latest techniques on social media marketing and teaching platforms.

Duration and Location

If selected, the intern assistant must be prepared to complete the internship, which will end January 5, 2024. Assessment at that time will determine if assistant and employer would like to continue the relationship on a more formal basis, with potential increase in pay and more hours as company grows.

The intern will be required to work between 10 and 20 hours a week. The position begins October 9 with training.

The office is in West LA. Preferably the assistant will meet with CEO once and from henceforth work from home. Days are flexible, but morning check-in meetings are mandatory.
