We are seeking a proactive and dependable Company Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight and company assets across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight and company equipment to various locations according to schedule
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or other heavy machinery when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries and pickups
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
- Certification or experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures for routine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy freight or equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Good communication skills and a skilled demeanor
