Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Concrete Labourer and be a vital part of transforming blueprints into solid, durable structures! This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from foundational work to finishing touches, ensuring each job site is safe, efficient, and of the highest quality. As a Concrete Labourer, you will bring your physical strength, technical skills, and enthusiasm to every task, contributing to the creation of impressive concrete structures that stand the test of time.

Duties
- Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to achieve smooth, level surfaces according to project specifications
- Operate heavy equipment such as mixers, forklifts, and compactors safely and efficiently
- Install rebar and steel reinforcement to strengthen concrete structures in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Set up formwork using carpentry skills to shape concrete before it cures
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and schematics for accurate placement of materials and components
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and installing various construction materials including drywall and flooring
- Perform restoration tasks such as caulking, sealing joints, and repairing surfaces to ensure long-lasting results
- Support masonry work and concrete finishing activities to achieve high-quality surface textures
- Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting, equipment operation, and material handling
- Collaborate with team members on renovation projects requiring drywall installation or flooring setup
Experience
- Prior construction experience is highly preferred; familiarity with concrete forming, finishing, or related trades is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for operating and maintaining heavy equipment and power tools
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings essential for exact execution of tasks
- Knowledge of rebar installation, masonry techniques, welding basics, or drywall installation enhances your versatility on site
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during restoration or renovation projects
- Demonstrated understanding of safety standards related to construction sites and concrete work practices
