About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and provide strategic accounting leadership. This is a full time, on-site position ideal for a finance professional with a strong background in construction accounting.

Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
- Manage job costing and Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Collaborate with project managers on job profitability analysis
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Assist with audits, tax preparation, and year-end close processes

Requirements

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Controller or senior accounting role
- Required:



previous experience in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP schedules, and construction accounting practices
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus)
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Procore, or similar construction accounting platforms)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
