Serenity Retirement Residence in Barrie is seeking a Level 1 Cook. This role is an excellent opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic person passionate about joining our team. You can deliver a dining experience that meets our residents' dietary requirements while enjoying the art of cooking.

Experience within a senior environment is an asset. You are self-motivated, with strong communication and organizational skills, and you are a cooperative team player. The ideal candidate is personable, has a strong work ethic, and follows departmental regulations and standards.

Food Handling Certification is required, and a current criminal record check and vulnerable sector search are a requirement for employment within our organization.

This position has set hours; alternate weekends are required.

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Preparing and cooking meals for senior residents of an assisted living facility in accordance with the established menus and special dietary requirements.




- Assisting and supervising dietary staff while ensuring a clean, safe work environment.
- General kitchen duties, including maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen area.
