Job Overview
We are seeking a Canadian CPA with a minimum of five years post designation public practice experience. dynamic and highly skilled CPA Senior Manager to lead our accounting and financial operations.
Duties
- Lead and execute audit and review engagements for a diverse client portfolio, including owner-managed businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and other entities
- Prepare and review T2 corporate tax returns, T1 personal returns, trust returns (T3), and partnership returns across a wide-ranging client base
- Review compilation engagements and financial statement preparation in accordance with Canadian standards
- Provide strategic tax planning advice, including corporate reorganizations, estate planning considerations, and owner-manager remuneration strategies
- Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor across a broad range of accounting, financial, and business advisory needs
- Liaise with CRA on client matters including audits, objections, and compliance inquiries
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff and CPA students
- Contribute to firm growth through business development, referral relationships, and active community engagement
- Participate in practice management, quality control, and the continuous improvement of firm processes
Qualifications & Experience
- Canadian CPA designation required
- Minimum 5 years of post-designation experience in public practice, with hands-on expertise in audit, review, compilation, and tax engagements
- Experience preparing and reviewing T1, T2, T3, and other Canadian tax filings
- Strong technical knowledge of Canadian ASPE, NPO standards, and the Income Tax Act
- Experience managing client files independently and supervising junior staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex matters to non-accountants
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software (CaseWare, Tax Cycle, QBO, or equivalent)
- Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in practice ownership is a strong asset
- Desire to build long-term roots in the Fernie community is a strong asset

Pay: $120,000.00-$150,000.87 per year
