ROLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Crane Operators are required to safely operate company 28 Ton, 40 Ton, and 70 Ton picker trucks.

Responsibilities include:

· Operate Crane - manipulate controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.

· Maintain and repair crane as needed.

· Inspect crane for safety issues on a daily, weekly, monthly & yearly basis.

· Determine if any parts are malfunctioning.

· Complete contractor job sheets, log books, work orders and all other necessary paperwork.

· Lift, position and place machinery, equipment or other large objects at construction sites and industrial facilities.

· Drive picker and delivery trucks to work sites. Load and unload trucks when necessary.

· Follow directions carefully.

· Understands and follows all safety policies and procedures.

· May perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

ACCOUNTABILITY & DECISION MAKING

· Must will able to operate all crane equipment in a safe and productive manner.





· Must adhere to all safety procedures

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Years of experience combined with education, designations or certifications.

· Must be registered with "BC Crane Safety".

· Must hold valid Crane Level Certification

· Valid Class 1 driver’s license and a clean drivers abstract is required.

· Equipment operation tickets is an asset (AWP, forklift, fall arrest etc.)

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

· Ability to greet customers in a skilled and friendly manner.

· Basic knowledge of mechanical systems is preferred.

· Physically fit, able to lift 50 pounds, and able to work on feet for long periods of time.

· Must be a team player

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $48.00-$55.00 per hour
