Job Summary

Excelsior Kitchens Limited is looking for a Custom Cabinetry Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in translating designs into production ready cabinetry. This role will require you to interpret floorplans and architectural drawings into shop drawing for client approvals making sure that every design is optimized for how our shop actually produces cabinetry using Cabinet Vision.

Key Responsibilities

· Interpret floorplans, architectural drawings, and design intent to develop accurate, buildable cabinetry layouts.

· Create detailed engineering drawings, shop drawings, cut lists using Cabinet Vision

· Ensure every design is structurally sound, dimensions are accurate, and optimized for efficient production and installation.

· Catch and resolve design or engineering issues before they reach the shop floor.

· Collaborate closely with sales, production and installation teams to make sure what’s engineered matches what was sold and what can be built.

· Bring initiative to the roll: identify inefficiencies in current construction methods, drawing standards, or workflows, and help build better ones.

· Stay current on cabinetry construction methods, materials, hardware, and relevant software/technology, and bring new ideas back to the team.

Qualifications

· Solid understanding of cabinetry construction, frameless construction, joinery methods,



hardware, and materials.

· Genuine technical aptitude – comfortable in CAD/drafting or engineering software, specially Cabinet Vision, and quick to learn new systems. Experience with Cabinet Vision is a must.

· Strong spatial reasoning: the ability to look at a floorplan or drawing and visualize how cabinetry components fit together in a real space.

· Initiative, you notice when something could be done better and you take the first step toward fixing it, rather than waiting to be told.

· Sharp attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills.

· Clear communicator, able to work effectively across design, sales, production, and installation teams.

· Comfortable working as part of a team, with the capability and interest to lead one.

Requirements

· Minimum 2 year’s experience with Cabinet Vision

· Experience with CNC programming or nesting software

· Experience in cabinetry, woodworking and millwork manufacturing

· Knowledge of cabinet construction

Benefits

· Full-Time position

· Wage $60K to $75K annually depending on experience

· Extended Health Care including Dental and Vision after 90 days

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
