Customer Service & Store Associate – Italian Specialty Food Store La Baie des Fromages is a family-owned Italian specialty food store in Montréal, offering a wide selection of authentic Italian cheeses, cured meats, prepared foods, grocery products and more.

We are looking for a reliable, friendly and motivated person to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with customers, food and a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Welcome and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide product recommendations and answer customer questions
- Prepare customer orders, including cheese and deli orders
- Slice and package cheeses and cured meats
- Stock and organize shelves and displays
- Receive and put away merchandise
- Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming store
- Prepare orders for pickup and delivery
- Make local deliveries when required
- Assist with various day-to-day tasks around the store

Qualifications

French-required; Italian-asset

Previous experience in customer service,



retail or a food-related environment is an asset

Knowledge of Italian food products is strongly preferred

Comfortable working with customers and providing attentive service

Reliable, punctual and responsible

Able to take initiative

Able to work independently as well as part of a team

Valuable organizational skills and attention to detail

Comfortable lifting and moving boxes and merchandise

Valid driver's licence required for deliveries

Experience working with Italian cheeses, cured meats, grocery products or other specialty foods is a major asset

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. The position requires availability every second Saturday, as well as occasional Sundays as needed. Candidates must be comfortable with this schedule requirement.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
