Responsibilities

- Review and process customs documentation to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Inspect shipments, cargo, and freight to verify contents against declared information
- Communicate effectively with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve clearance issues promptly
- Monitor shipments throughout the clearance process, providing updates and resolving any delays or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of all customs transactions, inspections, and approvals
- Stay informed about changes in customs policies, tariffs,



and trade agreements to ensure ongoing compliance
- Assist in training new team members on customs procedures and compliance standards

Requirements

- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with customs officials, colleagues, and external partners
- Attention to detail with the ability to review complex documentation accurately
- Prior experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or logistics is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-moving environment
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information
