Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to company recipes and standards, including ice cream treats, burgers, fries, and other menu items
- Operate the POS system (Micros POS) for order entry and payment processing
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality of all products
- Support team members as needed during busy periods to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Skills
- Previous food preparation or food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cash register technology
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices in a restaurant setting
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience or restaurant experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Upselling skills to promote additional menu items and enhance the guest experience
