POSITION FUNCTION The Day Camp leader is responsible for leading and supervising children in a variety of day camp activities. This role helps to support camp programming that is safe, engaging and fun and plays a key role in providing guidance and support to camp attendees.

KEY DUTIES - Main tasks include programming, leading and supervising children in camps throughout the summer.

- Knowledge of games, crafts, sports, outdoor recreation, weekly program planning and risk management. INDEPENDENCE Work is performed following established routines and is reviewed by supervisor.





KEY SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Ability to engage and effectively work with children - Complete forms accurately.

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner.
- Work safely on job site.

QUALIFICATIONS - Current Standard First Aid and CPR C are required.

- A Class 4 Driver’s License is an asset.
- Successful applicants will be required to provide a vulnerable sector criminal record clearance as a condition of employment.

OTHER: May be requested to substitute in a more senior position.
