Position Purpose To assist with school groups between the hours of 9:00am ¿ 4:00pm, Tuesday to Friday. Ensuring the safety of guests as you assist them getting on/off the lift, ascending down the hill and exiting the lanes. Instructing customers on the policies and procedures to ensure safety as well as fitting and inspecting helmets as needed. Performing snow removal and janitorial duties as required. Minimum Qualifications

- You must provide your own personal equipment: outdoor boots, indoor non slip steel toe shoes, eyewear, layering clothes and gloves. Jacket and snow pants will be provided by the Corporation.
- Prior experience working as a lift attendant an asset;
- Ability to think quickly in an emergency;
- Ability to interact and converse intelligently with guests and other employees;
- Good manual and physical dexterity skills;
- Ability to work in and withstand severe cold and adverse weather conditions;
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication and customer service skills;

Position Summary To assist with school groups between the hours of 9:00am ¿ 4:00pm, Tuesday to Friday. Ensuring the safety of guests as you assist them getting on/off the lift, ascending down the hill and exiting the lanes. Instructing customers on the policies and procedures to ensure safety as well as fitting and inspecting helmets as needed. Performing snow removal and janitorial duties as required.

Responsibilities

- Performs proper loading and unloading techniques, ensuring special attention is given to beginners, children and those with disabilities;
- Provides physical assistance to guests as required;
- Ensures lift users are displaying valid lift ticket and maintains orderly crowd control in lift mazes;
- Gives verbal instructions to lift users on loading and unloading;




- Ensures that guests are using/wearing the proper gear/equipment;
- Is aware of and is able to provide timely and accurate information concerning slope conditions, area activities and other related information intended to help the guest enjoy their stay;
- Politely gives verbal warnings to lift users who do not abide by the Rules of Conduct in the loading and unloading areas as well as on the lift;
- Maintains a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times;
- Sets and maintains lift mazes, ramps, signs and surface lift tracks;
- Calls for assistance in either lift malfunction or guest difficulty situations;
- Participates in lift evacuation training exercise and actual lift evacuations if necessary;
- Snow removal as required;
- Performs other related duties that may occur in an unplanned or emergency situation;
- Performs carpet lift stoppage if unsafe conditions occur;
- Communicates and reports all lift incidents/hazards/issues to supervisor;
- Ensures cleanliness of common areas, picks up debris, and keeps entire facility trash and litter free;
- Participate in the Town¿s Health and Safety Program and follow safety practices in work methods and procedures; observes and complies with all relevant Health & Safety regulations
