What You’ll Do
- Perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations (abdominal, obstetric, gynaecological, vascular, musculoskeletal, small parts, and more) to the highest professional standards.
- Operate modern ultrasound equipment with skill and efficiency, optimizing images and following manufacturer guidelines and established protocols.
- Obtain relevant patient history, explain procedures clearly, and create a calm, respectful experience that helps patients feel at ease.
- Analyze images, identify normal and abnormal findings, and provide accurate preliminary technical impressions to the interpreting radiologist or physician.
- Maintain complete, timely, and confidential documentation in full compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and the care team to deliver seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
- Uphold infection control, equipment care, and continuous quality improvement.
- Maintain the highest standards of skilled conduct, ethics, and ongoing development in line with Sonography Canada and the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
