About Choose Life Ministry

Choose Life Ministry provides faith-based, trauma-informed recovery support for women through our Homestead for Hope residential program. Our team walks alongside residents through the hardest season of their lives.

Position Overview

- Employment type: Full-time
- Wage: $20–25 per hour, depending on experience

Duties

- Provide day-to-day support, encouragement and accountability to residents
- Facilitate and supervise daily routines, chores and programming
- Document resident progress, incidents and shift notes
- Support residents at appointments, meetings and community activities
- Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming home environment
- Uphold confidentiality, boundaries and program policies at all times

Qualifications

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Genuine heart for women in recovery and alignment with our Christian faith values
- Strong interpersonal, listening and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including evenings, nights and weekends




- Current criminal record check with vulnerable sector search
- Valid driver's licence

Assets

- Experience in addictions, mental health, social work or a related field
- First Aid / CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Mental Health First Aid
- Lived experience of recovery (minimum two years of sustained sobriety)

Working Conditions Work takes place in a residential home setting with rotating shifts, including overnights and weekends. The role can be emotionally demanding and requires physical activity such as walking, standing and light lifting.
