Mye Japanese Restaurant, an Oakville staple for almost 40 years, is looking to expand the team! A great opportunity to learn why Mye is known as one of the best Japanese restaurants in the GTA and why most of our employees stay with us for a very long time.

- Previous kitchen & cooking experience is an asset - preferably in a Japanese or other Asian cuisine oriented kitchen.
- Must be able to handle a fast paced workplace and work well with others. Looking for a long-term employee.
- You will be mainly responsible for washing dishes, making salads and helping with the other chefs with basic prep.
- You still start with washing dishes, but depending on your ability and willingness to learn, we are hoping you will be able to transition into a kitchen cook. During the interview, we can discuss this in further detail.

Your expected work days are full time Wednesday - Sunday (from 11:00 to close with a break in between lunch and dinner service).



There might be an option to have this role shared between 2 dishwasher/kitchen helpers, so there might be some flexibility when it comes to hours - this is dependent on if there are multiple hires for this same position.

Ability to speak Japanese or Mandarin is an asset!

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 44.0 per week
