DISTRIBUTION ASSOCIATE - 6 Month Contract – Potential Full-Time Transition

Roles and responsibilities The distribution associate works closely with their Warehouse & Distribution Manager and coworkers to manage the flow of work throughout the business.

Essentially you will…

· Load and unload shipping trucks efficiently.

· Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with Client Services and Production Services departments while keeping them informed and responding to their requests.

· Check and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure the condition of shipments meet client expectations.

· Check materials shipped and received against pertinent documentation such as bills of lading, packing slips, purchase orders, invoices and custom documentation.

· Determine the most cost-effective shipping methods.





· Prepare the necessary documentation to support freight company requirements and custom requirements.

· Fulfill program orders as required including choosing the appropriate packaging and preparing the necessary paperwork.

· Perform cycle counts of inventory items as requested.

· Maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner.

Requirements

· Completion of secondary school or GED.

· 1-year experience with shipping and receiving, or a similar or like position, would be considered an asset.

· Office and/or administrative experience would be considered an asset.

· A positive attitude
