Educational Assistant Location: Lindsay Thurber High School 30 hours weekly September 14, 2026 until June 30, 2027 The successful candidate should be comfortable working with and supporting students within a high school setting. Depending on the ability and experience of the candidate, they might also assist with administrative duties pertaining to supervising student accommodations and assessments.

Desirable qualifications and attributes

- Educational Assistant Certificate or related training is an asset - Training or experience in behaviour management (e.g., non-violent crisis intervention, SIVA) preferred - Experience supporting students with complex behavioural needs in a school setting - Calm, patient, and able to respond effectively in high-needs or escalated situations - Solid communication and teamwork skills - Flexible, reliable, and able to support a variety of classroom and school-based activities - Comfortable supporting personal care needs including lifting and toileting as required For more information about the Red Deer Public School District, visit our website at:
