Electrical Site Foreman - Kelowna

All field employees are certified Journeymen electricians and registered electrical Apprentices, enabling us to provide to our customers with extensive experience, timely troubleshooting and analytical skills, along with a vast knowledge in electrical repair and maintenance.

At this time, Mazzei Electric Ltd. is now hiring a Jobsite Electrical Foreman for Projects work in Kelowna and surrounding areas. We are looking for a candidate that is self-motivated, hard working, and professional in both appearance and attitude. Duties will include providing direction and supervision for electrical construction in commercial and multi-residential properties. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

· Plan, organize, direct,



and control daily operations including completion of work scope, ensuring the use of company OHS policies and procedures, and on-site inventory management

· Plan and prepare construction schedules and monitor progress

· Reading and interpreting drawings and schematics

· Coordinate with the site coordinators or general superintendents

· Support a clean, organized, and safe worksite

· Professionalism in client/contractor relations

· Installation and troubleshooting of all electrical components in multi-family residential, commercial and institutional structures

· Lead performance management, coaching, and mentoring initiatives for all field staff, working closely with PM’s, Superintendents, and sub-forepersons

· Follow safety programs and policies, wear appropriate PPE, and attend safety training as required

· Maintaining accurate electronic daily reports and notes regarding assigned projects

· Identify and communicate potential schedule, material, or labour issues to Project Managers

· Planning and participating in employee evaluations with Superintendents

· Participating in worker disciplinary actions given (through HR)

· Responsible for employee layoffs and terminations with PM’s,



Superintendents and HR

· Present a positive, can-do attitude in the workplace and with our clients

· Instruction and leadership of apprentices and journeypersons

· Punctual and reliable presence on worksites

· Understanding of Arc Flash and Lock-out/Tag-out procedures

· Maintaining strict adherence to relevant industry and Mazzei Electric safety standards

· Additional duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Red-Seal Journeyperson Certificate

· 5 years electrical experience required in multi-family residential/commercial sectors

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills

· Strong creative problem solving, decision making, and communication skills.

· Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

· Valid Class B FSR or higher an asset

· Extensive knowledge of CEC

· Commercial/residential construction experience required

· Experience in all other electrical fields are an asset

· Experience using programs such as Bluebeam, Jonas FieldTime and SALUS an asset

· Basic hand tools and cordless power tools

· Valid class 5 driver’s license preferred

· Willing to work out of town, longer shifts, and/or evening shifts.
