The Opportunity

Sabre is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive estimates for switchgear, E-House, and electrical infrastructure projects.

Working closely with engineering, procurement, project management, and business development teams, you will play a key role in supporting successful project execution and helping drive business growth.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare detailed material, labour, equipment, and overall project cost estimates for switchgear, E-House, and electrical infrastructure projects.
- Review drawings,



specifications, bid documents, and customer requirements to develop accurate take-offs and pricing.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, project management, and sales teams to develop competitive bid strategies.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations to support accurate project costing.
- Identify project risks, scope gaps, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities during the estimating process.
- Support customer inquiries by providing technical and commercial solutions aligned with project requirements.
- Maintain and update historical cost data, estimating tools, and benchmarks to improve pricing accuracy and consistency.
- Participate in bid reviews, project handovers, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure estimates comply with applicable electrical codes, standards, and customer specifications.

What You’ll Bring
- 7+ years of estimating experience in electrical projects, preferably involving switchgear, power distribution systems, or industrial electrical construction.
- Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician or a related technical background is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, components, and construction practices.
- Experience preparing detailed estimates and managing multiple bids simultaneously.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Experience with switchgear, E-House, and modular electrical systems is considered a strong asset.
