We are looking for skilled and safety-conscious Industrial/Commercial Journeymen and Apprentice Electricians to join our team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment at various sites as required.
Responsibilities
- Work on various electrical projects in Edmonton and surrounding areas
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, machinery, and control panels
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Perform preventive maintenance on motors, transformers, switchgear, and PLCs
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime
- Ensure all work complies with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and applicable safety standards
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
Skills
- Proven experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams with precision.
- Strong background in industrial, commercial, and controls.
- Construction experience involving electrical installations
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems including relay logic and automation controls.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks is an asset
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently using schematics and diagnostic equipment.
- Able to lead small crews and mentor apprentices.
- - 3+ years of experience in an industrial or commercial environment
- - Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- - Familiarity with safety regulations and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
- - Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- - Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime when required
- - First Aid / CPR certification
- - H2S Alive
- - Aerial Work Platform and Harness certificate
