Job Information Position #: 151122 Expected Start Date: January 05, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Shaunavon Hospital and Care Centre City/Town: Shaunavon Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part time regular FTE: 0.67 Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 4 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Reporting to the Southwest EMS Operations Manager the Emergency Medical Technician - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) is responsible for responding to emergent and non-emergent EMS calls for service; and for providing initial assessment, treatment, stabilization and transport of ill or injured persons at the Basic Life Support level.
The PCP will provide care with strict adherence to: Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) core values, policies, and work standards; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Paramedic Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and SCoP Regulatory and Administrative Bylaws; and The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations.

Education - Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP) Licenses - International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) - Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP) - Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED)
- Valid Class 4 driver's license - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) Competencies - Advanced - Listening skills - Intermediate - Conflict resolution skills - Advanced - Interpersonal skills Knowledge and Abilities - Decision making through the application of clinical, legal & ethical practice - Physical ability to perform the duties of the position - Positive approach to deal with challenging situations with empathy and sincerity - Knowledge of EMS Practitioners legislation/protocols/scope of practice - Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System.
