D&L; Landscaping & Concrete is looking for an experienced Field Operations Supervisor to take a key leadership role within our growing company.

This is a hands-on supervisory position for someone who is confident organizing crews, coordinating multiple job sites, maintaining quality and productivity, and taking responsibility for safe and effective field operations.

Our work changes with the seasons. During the winter, our operations focus heavily on commercial snow clearing, ice control and snow hauling. During the summer, our work includes asphalt and concrete repairs, site work and related commercial construction services.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day field operations and who can provide clear direction to employees while working closely with management.

Responsibilities

- Organize, schedule and direct field crews based on daily job requirements
- Coordinate employees, equipment, materials and job-site requirements
- Review upcoming work and ensure crews are properly prepared before arriving on site
- Provide clear instructions and expectations to employees at the beginning of each job or shift
- Supervise multiple crews and job sites and monitor progress throughout the day
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets company and customer standards
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks and job-specific safety discussions
- Ensure employees follow company safety policies, safe-work procedures and PPE requirements
- Assist with hazard assessments, incident documentation and other safety records
- Train, coach and provide direction to employees,



including newer operators and labourers
- Identify performance or operational issues and work with management to correct them
- Maintain accurate records relating to employee hours, equipment use, job progress and completed work
- Coordinate required materials, equipment and resources for upcoming work
- Communicate professionally with customers, property representatives, employees and management
- Assist management in improving field procedures, crew organization and overall efficiency
- Participate in D&L;'s ongoing COR certification process and help maintain the company's safety program
- During winter operations, monitor changing conditions and assist with crew deployment, routing, site inspections, snow clearing, ice control and hauling operations
- During summer operations, supervise asphalt, concrete and site-work projects including excavation, base preparation, grading, paving, repairs and related work
- Be available for early mornings, evenings, overnight work and weekends when required during winter weather events

What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with proven supervisory or foreman experience in construction, paving, snow removal, landscaping, heavy equipment operations or a related industry.

The right candidate should be organized, dependable and confident making decisions in the field. You should be comfortable managing different personalities,



holding employees accountable and stepping in when a job or crew needs additional direction.

Experience supervising commercial snow-clearing operations is strongly preferred. Experience with asphalt and/or concrete work is also highly desirable. Candidates with strong experience in one area and good working knowledge of the other are encouraged to apply.

Previous experience with workplace safety programs, COR, toolbox meetings, hazard assessments or similar safety systems would be considered a strong asset.

A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to our shop are required. Experience operating loaders, skid steers, trucks or other construction and snow-removal equipment is considered an asset.
