The Opportunity: Reporting to the Controller , the Financial Accountant will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's reporting and accounting processes. This is a hands-on position within a small team, offering the opportunity to wear multiple hats, work closely with the business, and develop broad accounting expertise .

Key Responsibilities

- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting




- Prepare and execute tax filings, including applicable Canadian sales tax requirements
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support inventory valuation, cost accounting, and related adjustments
- Gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing accounting and production processes
- Prepare and analyze financial information and reporting
- Develop and maintain KPI reporting to support Plant Operations
- Partner with Supply Chain, Production, and other operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Support intercompany accounting and foreign currency transactions
- Contribute to process improvements and take on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience grow

What We're Looking For

- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing setting is required
- Candidates from public accounting with exposure to manufacturing clients and inventory accounting will be considered
- Strong Excel and Power BI skills
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and willing to wear multiple hats
- Fully on-site availability is required
