Under the supervision of the Director of Rooms Division, the ideal candidate has a natural talent for hospitality and is driven by guest satisfaction. They are detail-oriented and possess robust analytical skills that enable them to ensure the property's financial and accounting accuracy. They thrive in a dynamic and sometimes unpredictable environment where creativity and initiative are valuable assets.
Warm and professional, they demonstrate an open and empathetic approach toward guests while fostering effective communication with both internal and external departments.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly.
- Manage both the administrative and service aspects of guest arrivals and departures.
- Handle a cash float, process payments, and enter confidential credit card information into the system.
- Answer telephone calls and direct them to the appropriate departments based on guest needs.
- Efficiently follow up on guest requests.
- Provide information on local tourist attractions and regional activities.
- Work collaboratively with the entire front desk team to identify and exceed guest expectations.
- Respond to all requests with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Exercise discretion and ensure guest confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- Hospitality training or education is considered an asset.
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience.
- Knowledge of a hotel property management system (Opera Cloud is an asset).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with the local area and tourist attractions.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Professional appearance and presentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
