Café Attendant – Georgetown Hospital

We are a small café located inside Georgetown Hospital and are looking for a dependable, friendly and customer-focused Café Attendant to join our team.

Our café is a straightforward operation serving hospital staff, patients and visitors. We are looking for someone who enjoys dealing with people, keeps their work area exceptionally clean and can provide friendly and efficient service.

Responsibilities

- Greet and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Prepare and serve coffee, beverages and light food items
- Handle customer orders and payments
- Keep counters, equipment and the entire café clean and organized
- Restock products and supplies as required
- Maintain good food-handling and personal hygiene standards
- Recommend products and encourage additional purchases when appropriate
- Provide consistently valuable customer service
- Help with opening and closing duties
- Work independently when required

What We Are Looking For

Some previous experience in a café, restaurant, convenience store,



fast-food restaurant or other customer-service environment is preferred.

Applicants should

- Be able to communicate clearly in English
- Be reliable and punctual
- Have excellent personal hygiene
- Be friendly and comfortable dealing with customers
- Understand the importance of cleanliness in a hospital environment
- Be comfortable suggesting and upselling products
- Be able to work independently and take responsibility for keeping the café organized
- Have reliable transportation to and from work

Preference will be given to applicants living in Georgetown, Brampton or nearby communities with a reasonable commute to the hospital.
