BlackCreek Forming is hiring an experienced Formwork Carpenter for residential and commercial concrete forming projects across Simcoe County, Barrie, GTA, and surrounding areas.
We are looking for someone with solid hands-on experience in concrete forming who can work efficiently as part of a crew.
Responsibilities
- Build and install formwork for footings, foundation walls, grade beams, columns, and concrete structures
- Set up and strip concrete forms
- Work with Advance Forms, Duraform, or similar forming systems
- Install ties, braces, bulkheads, block-outs, and walers
- Check forms for line, level, plumb, and correct dimensions
- Read basic construction and structural drawings
- Assist with concrete pours
- Clean and prepare forming materials for reuse
- Follow instructions from the foreman and site supervisor
- Maintain a protected and clean job site
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of concrete forming experience
- Experience with Advance Forms or similar wall forming systems
- Must know how to use construction hand and power tools
- Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
- Ability to read drawings is an asset
- Must be reliable, hardworking, and able to work outdoors
- Must have reliable transportation to job sites
- Valid driver’s licence is preferred
- Own basic hand tools and PPE preferred
Compensation $30.00–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
Full-time hours available for experienced and reliable workers.
