Full-time
Monday to Friday
Monday: roughly 10:00am – 6:00pm
Tuesday–Friday: roughly 8:00am –4:00pm
Reports to: Food Hub Manager
Graze & Gather is looking for an energetic, creative Fulfilment & Social Media Coordinator who can help get local food out the door and tell the stories behind it.
We work with small farms and food producers to bring fresh, thoughtfully grown food to households, restaurants and community partners. Every order represents food grown or made by real people, often just a short drive from the customers receiving it. This position plays a direct role in strengthening those connections.
This is a genuinely hybrid position. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, you’ll work with our warehouse team to pack retail and wholesale orders accurately and efficiently before the delivery vans leave. After the vans depart, and throughout Monday and Friday, your focus will shift to social media, newsletters and storytelling.
You might spend the morning packing vegetables, meat and dairy products...and the afternoon creating a video, photographing a new product or writing about the farmer who produced it. Both sides of the job matter, and both require someone who can turn plans into finished work.
What you’ll be responsible for
Fulfilment
- Packing retail and wholesale orders accurately and efficiently
- Checking product names, quantities, quality, packaging and labels
- Making sure completed orders are organized and ready before the delivery vans leave
- Reporting shortages, damaged products and possible substitutions to the Food Hub Manager
- Handling refrigerated, frozen and shelf-stable products appropriately
- Keeping the packing area clean, safe and organized
- Working closely with the Warehouse & Fulfillment Coordinator during packing hours
- Pitching-in during genuinely busy periods while keeping communications work on schedule
Social media and communications
- Planning and maintaining a practical social media and content calendar
- Creating photographs, short videos, reels, stories, graphics and written posts
- Writing, assembling and scheduling our weekly customer newsletter
- Sharing the stories of our farmers, food producers, products and food hub
- Turning everyday activity into helpful, interesting content that helps people understand where their food comes from
- Publishing content consistently according to an agreed schedule
- Monitoring social media comments and messages and directing customer-service concerns to the Food Hub Manager
- Helping maintain accurate and appealing product photographs and descriptions on our online marketplace
- Reviewing basic performance data to understand what is working and improve future content
- Working with the Owner and Food Hub Manager on campaigns, priorities and brand voice
You’ll be a strong fit if you
- Enjoy a role that combines physical work with creative work
- Move with urgency and can pack orders quickly without becoming careless
- Write clearly, naturally and with personality
- Can create engaging photographs and short-form video
- Understand how content should differ across posts, stories, reels and newsletters
- Can take an idea from discussion through creation, approval and publication
- Are organized and able to manage several deadlines without constant reminders
- Communicate early when something is missing, delayed or unclear
- Can lift and carry at least 50 pounds safely
- Are comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments
- Are dependable and consistently arrive ready to work
- Care about local food, small farms and building a stronger regional food system
- Have reliable transportation to our rural workplace
Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, Shopify, Klaviyo, photography or video-editing software is an asset. Previous work in food, farming, grocery, fulfilment or community organizations is helpful but not required. We will ask applicants to provide examples of social posts, photographs, videos, newsletters or other communications work. Personal projects and school work are welcome if they demonstrate what you can do.
