Position Summary The Retail Service Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service while maintaining the cleanliness, safety, security, and efficient operation of the Petro-Canada retail facility and surrounding areas.

Key Job Duties The successful candidate will be required to:

- Provide qualified and courteous customer service to all guests.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process cash, debit, credit, and other approved payment transactions accurately.
- Assist customers with fuel, merchandise, and other services offered at the location.
- Receive, unload, move, and stock merchandise, supplies, beverages, and other products.
- Lift and carry items as required for stocking and daily store operations, including boxes and product containers up to 40 lb, using safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Replenish shelves, coolers, displays, and other retail areas.
- Maintain accurate pricing, product displays, and store presentation in accordance with company standards.
- Clean and maintain the sales floor, counters, windows, equipment, exterior areas, and other assigned areas of the property.
- Clean and maintain customer and employee washrooms, including floors, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and other fixtures, in accordance with established cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Empty garbage and recycling containers and safely handle waste and cleaning materials.
- Maintain fuel service areas, walkways, parking areas, and other exterior areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Follow all applicable workplace health and safety, environmental, emergency, and company policies and procedures.




- Monitor the premises for safety hazards and promptly report spills, equipment issues, suspicious activity, or other concerns to management.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Assist with inventory counts, deliveries, merchandising, and other operational tasks.
- Work cooperatively with coworkers and management to maintain operational standards.
- Perform other reasonable duties related to the position as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements This position involves active retail and service work. The successful candidate must be able to safely perform the essential physical duties of the position, with reasonable accommodation where required by applicable law.

The position may require

- Standing and walking for extended periods, including approximately an 8-hour shift, with normal breaks and meal periods.
- Frequent walking, bending, reaching, twisting, squatting, and moving throughout the store and property.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling merchandise, supplies, garbage, and equipment as required.
- Lifting and carrying loads of up to approximately 40 lb as part of regular stocking and operational duties.
- Repeated handling of products and supplies.




- Working indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Performing cleaning duties, including cleaning and sanitizing washrooms and other customer-accessible areas.
- Responding appropriately to spills, hazards, and other operational situations in a timely manner.

Work Schedule This position may require working a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts, depending on the operating requirements of the location.

- Maintain appropriate uniform, footwear, personal appearance, and hygiene standards.
- Follow safe work practices and use required personal protective equipment when applicable.
- Maintain a professional and respectful manner when dealing with customers, coworkers, contractors, and management.
- Personal electronic devices, including cell phones, tablets, laptops, headphones/earbuds, and other personal devices, must not be used for personal purposes while employees are on duty or performing work-related responsibilities.
- Reading books, magazines, or other personal reading materials while on duty is not permitted.
- Personal devices may only be used during authorized breaks or meal periods and in designated areas, subject to company policy. Use may also be permitted when required for legitimate business purposes or in an emergency.

Pay: $18.25 per hour
