We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our property maintenance team for the winter season. You will perform manual labor and operate light equipment to clear snow and ice from residential or commercial sites. This role requires working outdoors in all types of winter weather.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Clearing: Shovel snow and chip ice from steps, sidewalks, pathways, and emergency exits.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate walk-behind snow blowers, sweepers, or other light power equipment.
De-Icing: Spread salt, sand, or ice melt products on slippery surfaces to prevent slips and falls.
Site Maintenance: Keep accurate logs of service completion, report equipment issues, and clear debris from work zones.
Team Support: Work with crew members to clear large commercial or residential lots efficiently.
Requirements & Qualifications
Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift and move heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous outdoor labor for long hours.
Weather Tolerance: Willingness to work in extreme cold, snow, and adverse weather conditions.
Availability: Flexible schedule, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and on-call shifts as snowstorms hit.
Driver’s License: A valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation to the starting work site is preferred.
Experience: Previous general labour, landscaping, or snow removal experience is an asset, but training is often provided.
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
