Western Tub & Pool is looking for a reliable, hands-on individual to join our team as Shop Help – Hot Tub Refurbishing.

This is a hands-on position working primarily in our shop refurbishing used hot tubs. Previous hot tub experience is not required — we are willing to train the right person. What is important is having positive mechanical aptitude, being comfortable using tools, and having the ability to think through problems and learn.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day work will include:

- Assisting with the inspection and refurbishment of used hot tubs
- Removing and replacing hot tub components and parts
- Diagnosing basic mechanical and plumbing issues
- Using hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
- Cleaning and preparing hot tubs for refurbishment and resale
- Assisting with plumbing, pumps, equipment and other repairs
- Testing completed work
- Moving hot tubs, equipment and materials around the shop
- Keeping the shop and work areas clean, organized and safe
- Following instructions and established refurbishment procedures
- Taking photos, recording information and communicating job progress using a cell phone or other basic technology
- Other shop-related duties as required

Must-Have Qualifications We're looking for someone who:
- Has a valid driver's licence
- Owns a reliable vehicle
- Has good mechanical aptitude
- Knows how to use common hand and power tools correctly and safely
- Has strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Can look at a problem, think it through and work toward a solution
- Takes direction well and is willing to learn




- Has great communication skills
- Can understand and speak English well enough to safely follow instructions and communicate with the team
- Is comfortable using basic technology, including a cell phone, text messaging, email, photos and basic apps
- Is dependable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Takes pride in doing a job properly

Experience Previous experience with hot tubs is not required.

Experience in any of the following would be an asset:

- Mechanical repair
- Plumbing
- Automotive repair
- Construction
- Maintenance
- Equipment repair
- Electrical troubleshooting
- General shop work

We're more interested in finding someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, willing to learn and able to solve problems than someone who already knows hot tubs.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on shop position. Applicants must be comfortable:

- Working on their feet
- Bending, kneeling and working in tight spaces
- Using hand and power tools
- Lifting and carrying parts, equipment and materials
- Working in a shop environment that can involve water, dirt and physical work
