We are a custom, precision tool shop that produces a variety of stamping dies, primarily for the automotive industry.

General Labourer- Production Job Role The General Labour/Production team member plays a primary role in the overall manufacturing process to achieve a high level of productivity within the company. This role is responsible for supporting activities on the manufacturing floor and efficient handling and organizing of all incoming and outgoing materials and products. This role is responsible for the daily activities to maintain a high degree of quality and ensure on time delivery.

Responsibilities

▪ Shipping and receiving: First one to go meet the truck drivers, when they get to the shop.

▪ Receive, verify and unload incoming materials

▪ Load and unload tooling and components to and from trailers using Counterbalance Forklift or Overhead Crane.

▪ Organize material inventory according to production planning

▪ Drive industrial vehicles to transfer materials

▪ Clean and maintain company vehicles and equipment in a safe and positive working condition

▪ Assist manufacturing activities as required

▪ Maintain a safe, clean and organized shop floor space

▪ Support the Supervisor with special projects and workflow improvements, as required Production

▪ Communicate with and support other team members to ensure continuous production at high-quality levels with minimal waste

▪ Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations





▪ Ensure the shop floor is a safe environment in line with health, safety and environmental requirements

▪ Ensure all personnel comply with set health and safety policies and ISO9001:2015 awareness and adherence when carrying out job duties

▪ Report to the Supervisor any known missing or defective equipment or protective device that may be hazardous

▪ Report any known workplace hazard or violation of the Act or regulations to the Supervisor.

Position Requirements

▪ Must possess and full G licence and clean driver abstract required

▪ Must have Overhead Crane experience

▪ Must have Counterbalance Forklift experience

▪ Able to lift with regularity

▪ Able to work both independently and as part of a team

▪ Positive attitude and enjoys working in a quick-paced environment

▪ Demonstrated success in continuous improvement

▪ Lean manufacturing and 5S concepts awareness and adherence

▪ Multi-tasking and the ability to handle the unexpected

▪ Versatile problem solver with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
