The Role

As the General Manager of our Swim program at Park Royal, you will oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring a welcoming, family-friendly environment while maintaining program excellence, safety standards, and top-tier customer service. Your role is pivotal in driving growth, managing business operations, and creating an outstanding experience for families and staff. This position is based at our Park Royal Swim facility in West Vancouver with occasional work at our Vancouver, Fraser Head Office. You will report to the Director, Swim.

Your Responsibilities





- Oversee the daily operations of the Park Royal Swim facility, ensuring smooth and efficient management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team through coaching and support.
- Monitor staff performance, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Recruit, schedule, and engage with staff to foster a strong team culture.
- Maintain facility cleanliness, security, and compliance with health regulations.
- Ensure the highest standard of safety at all pools.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to feedback, resolving concerns, and driving customer satisfaction (NPS score).
- Handle administrative duties, including answering inquiries, processing registrations, and payments.
- Grow revenue by driving sales, building partnerships, and executing marketing initiatives.
- Engage with families to promote Pedalheads’ Swim, Bike, Soccer and Camp programs.
- Oversee payroll for Swim staff.
- Develop and implement an operational and safety plan for Park Royal.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams to increase community engagement.
- Build strong relationships within the local community to enhance our presence and impact.

What We're Looking For

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role in tourism, hospitality, or recreation.




- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer service.
- Prior experience in aquatics (as a swim instructor and/or lifeguard) is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Sports Recreation, Education, or Business Administration (or a related field) is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license (an asset).
- National Lifeguard Certification (an asset).
- Lifesaving Swim Instructor Certification (an asset).
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, particularly while swim lessons are in session.

Compensation & Benefits
