Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain grapple skidders efficiently and safely.
- Ensure the machinery is in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
- Coordinate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets, log quality, and optimize workflow.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and equipment status.
Qualifications:
- 5 years proven experience operating grapple skidders in high production environments, including hot logging and decked wood.
- Knowledge of logging and forestry operations.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred:
- Experience with Tigercat and John Deere grapple skidders
- 5 years previous experience in a similar role operating a grapple skidder.
