Job Overview

Rose Hill Care at Home is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Greek-speaking Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide private home-care support to a client in their residence.

The current assignment is expected to require approximately three (3) days of care initially. However, the client’s care needs are expected to increase, and ongoing regular service is anticipated within the next month or so.

Fluency in Greek is required for this assignment due to the client’s communication needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the client with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Provide mobility assistance, transfers, repositioning, and fall-prevention support as required
- Assist with meals, feeding, hydration, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction
- Provide medication reminders and permitted medication-related assistance according to the care plan and company policies
- Support the client with mobility limitations, cognitive changes, or other care needs as required
- Observe and promptly report changes in the client’s physical condition, mood, behaviour, or care needs
- Complete required care notes and documentation accurately and on time
- Assist with light housekeeping related to the client’s comfort and safety
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment
- Follow the client’s individualized care plan and Rose Hill Care at Home policies and procedures
- Maintain client dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and respect at all times
- Communicate professionally with the client, family members, and Rose Hill management

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must have

- Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized institution
- Fluency in Greek
- Minimum one (1) year of skilled PSW or caregiving experience




- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Recent and clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Current TB test
- Up-to-date immunization records
- Valid authorization to work in Canada
- Professional references
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position
- Ability to work independently in a private home-care workplace

Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is considered an asset:

- Private home care
- Senior care
- Dementia or Alzheimer’s care
- Palliative or supportive care
- Mobility and transfer assistance
- Companionship care
- Supporting clients with chronic health conditions

Availability The selected PSW must be available for an initial three-day assignment. Although the immediate assignment is currently limited, the client’s care needs are expected to increase and there is strong potential for regular ongoing shifts in the coming weeks.

Additional Rose Hill Care at Home assignments may also become available depending on the employee’s availability and operational needs.
