Position: Head Cashier

Wage: CAD$22.91/hour

Types: Full-time, Permanent (availability to work weekends is considered an asset)

Working hours: hours/week

Benefits: 4% of vacation pay

Job Duties

Supervise and coordinate cashiers;

Assign staff to duties and prepare work schedules;

Authorize payments by cheque and the return of merchandise;

Tally up sales totals at the end of the day;

Prepare reports on incoming and outgoing cash, debit, and credit transactions;

Provide change for cashers and ensure each till is supplied with enough money for shifts;

Make sure that the store is well-staffed during busy periods to avoid long wait times for customers;





Resolve problems that arise;

Train recent cashiers.

Job Requirements

Completion of secondary school is required;

2-3 years of experience in retail sales is required.
