Kitchen Manager – Health-Focused Meal Program
Company: No Time to Cook Location: Toronto, ON
Employment Type: Part-time, Permanent.
About Us
No Time to Cook is a health-first culinary company helping busy people reset their bodies through nutrient-dense, delicious meals designed to heal from the inside out. Our signature Wellness Reset Program blends culinary excellence with nutritional science to deliver real results — without sacrificing flavor or convenience.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Kitchen Manager to lead day-to-day kitchen operations as we launch and grow in Toronto. You'll learn our existing recipes and prep systems inside and out and execute them with consistency — this isn't a menu-development role, it's about running a tight, reliable kitchen that delivers the same quality our clients already know from our Vancouver program. As Toronto's client base grows, there's real opportunity to grow with it.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and consistently execute No Time to Cook's existing recipes, portioning, and prep standards — no menu development required.
- Run day-to-day kitchen operations: meal prep, packaging, and coordinating delivery windows.
- Source high-quality local ingredients and manage supplier relationships for the Toronto kitchen.
- Maintain food safety standards and a spotless, organized kitchen at all times.
- Track inventory and kitchen supplies, keeping waste and costs in check.
- Coordinate with our Vancouver-based team to keep the Toronto kitchen consistent with the established program.
- Train and support additional kitchen staff as the Toronto team grows.
Qualifications
- Significant experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar role in a professional, high-volume, or meal-prep kitchen.
- A genuine understanding of healthy, whole-food cooking — this isn't a fit for someone who needs to learn what healthy cooking looks like on top of learning our system.
- Comfortable following standardized recipes and processes with precision and consistency.
- Strong working knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
- Ontario Food Handler Certification (or equivalent) required.
- Self-motivated and comfortable operating independently day-to-day, reporting remotely to leadership based in Vancouver.
What We Offer
- $30/hour, plus a discretionary bonus based on performance
- Starts at 16 hours per week, growing to 25 hours per week, Monday–Friday, once fully trained. Mornings only, no evenings or weekends.
- Initial 2-month contract, with potential for a longer-term role as our Toronto client base grows
- Ground-floor opportunity with a fast-growing health-food brand expanding into a recent city
- Collaborative, mission-driven work environment where your skills make a direct impact
Pay: $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 – 25.0 per week
Work Location: In person
