We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional care to residents in home care setting, and assisted living. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will support individuals with a range of needs from companionship, light housekeeping to dementia and end of life care.
Your role will focus on delivering personalized assistance that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. This paid position offers an chance to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working in a supportive and energetic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
- Support medication administration following prescribed protocols to ensure safety and accuracy
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and report changes in residents’ conditions
- Assist with mobility exercises, transfers, and positioning to prevent falls and enhance physical well-being
Skills
- Prior home care experienced preferred but training available for the right candidate.
- Must drive and have a car.
- Demonstrated experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities in a home or facility setting
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and de-escalation
- Willingness to do on going training.
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Capable of performing light cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently
- Familiarity with health and safety standards related to home care environments
