Airmetrics Energy Systems Inc., an established Ottawa HVAC company operating since 1992, is looking for an experienced and dependable Heat Pump / Air Conditioning Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, service, troubleshooting and maintenance of residential and light commercial heat pump and air conditioning systems throughout the Ottawa area.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, troubleshoot and maintain heat pump and air conditioning systems
- Diagnose refrigeration, electrical and mechanical issues
- Perform system start-ups, testing and commissioning
- Complete repairs and preventative maintenance
- Work independently and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Complete required service documentation and job reports
- Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors and other trades
- Follow all company and site-specific health and safety requirements
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have
- Experience servicing and installing heat pumps and air conditioning systems
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence
- Clear driving record
- Ability to provide a clear Ottawa Police Records Check
- Own basic HVAC hand tools
- Valid WHMIS training
- Valid Ontario Worker Health & Safety Awareness training
- Valid Working at Heights training
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional attitude and strong customer-service skills
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements associated with HVAC installation and service work
Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to applicants with:
- 313D or 313A Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic certification
- ODP certification
- G2 Gas Technician licence
- Manufacturer-specific heat pump or ductless training
- Experience with ductless and multi-zone heat pump systems
- Experience working in residential and multi-residential properties
